Before we jump into the particulars of this location called Dutch John, we must pause and thank you Dear Reader for even starting this chapter. May you find yourself with a smile on your face and peace in your heart today and every day so you might spread that feeling to others. Let Us celebrate the Wonder in each other as we continue on our Journey.

We have realized by now that the physical latitude and longitude coordinates we have provided for locations in previous chapters that we were so proud to have collectively maintained for centuries offer no value for the Reader in navigating the Soul’s journey. It has also come to our attention that the availability of GPS devices has resulted in a deluge of souls disrupting the natural patterns of the long-term residents in said locations. So we have discontinued the practice.

For the highest alignment of all, we urge you dear Reader to take the advice, experiences and locations in this book merely as guidance. It is more important for you to understand the energy of the experiences rather than the specific physical locations in your plane. We urge you to apply whatever humble lessons you may realize to whatever location you find yourself in now and any location or time from which you read or remember the experiences from this day forward. Let it be so. Amen.

Dutch John became a city in the year 2015 according to the Julian calendar system of the twenty-first century. But that was certainly not the first time – or the last – that it appears in the Permanent Record. It serves as the backdrop for many pivotal moments in the conquering -and later freeing – of the Great Rivers. Its population and activity has ebbed and flowed just as the water has through this great land of valleys and mesas.

There are periods to note of course. We know that the Land is now undergoing intense restoration as it begins to rejuvenate to its former Glory, with help from its present Stewards. There was much scarring over several hundred years of homo sapien development, through hunting and drilling, damming and flooding and any number of other destructive activities that rendered it and the surrounding areas it served defenseless.

The energy and excitement of Dutch John especially was palpable in the 1950s as the Flaming Gorge dam was built, bringing the best and brightest together in the middle of nowhere to do what had never been done before. The dam hinted at a new recreational paradise for baby boomers after a difficult and painful World War II – bringing road travelers in numbers to sights along the way like those Juniper Springs highlighted before.

It also delivered on the long sought after dream of industrialized water-intensive agriculture in these valleys helping to realize the vision that Fray Francisco Silvestre Vélez de Escalante documented in his journals during that famed expedition in 1776, nearly two centuries earlier, while those squiggly-lines called states were being united and born into one called America. Not that the Fray could have ever have imagined what would become back then. We are still becoming accustomed to this notion of past sight and future sight ourselves and humbly beg forgiveness if we have gotten any of it wrong.

Individually and scientifically and as a society, it was a great accomplishment and We do not question the Creator’s reasons for doing what must be Done. Blessed be that every experience serve as a guide to create Heaven on Earth for whomever chooses it. May we always remember that timing is divine and any notion of future and past expectations only serves as a guide for the logic of our brains, not the compass of our souls. But hindsight most certainly is 20/20 and the only question now is when we choose to see and acknowledge and learn from what is done.

This temporarily flooded Land had been in the care of the Utes and others, who nurtured it for many centuries. It’s difficult to describe the vastness of its beauty to those who have not experienced it. A nomadic people, they traveled with the weather, the animals and nature’s blessed bounty – upward to the mountains in the summer and downward to the valleys in winter. We often hear them referred to as Guardians of Middle Earth*[Add citation], which makes us chuckle as it sounds so much like that popular series of the twenty-first century known as “Lord of the Rings.” Please forgive us as that may not be of interest to the Reader and have no bearing on your Journey but we do appreciate the story for its lessons of humility in power and strength in love and friendship.

Today we are here to talk about creators of another kind. Explorers who traveled the land to guide others on its resources and how they might be used to honor God’s kingdom and expand Heaven on Earth. The Fransiscan monks Escalante and Dominguez leave their mark to this day as whispers on the voices of hikers and rafters and souls who decided to never leave as they look up in awe at the beauty of the mesas our magical Creator has bestowed*[Escalante and Dominguez canyons – add citation]. Let us be Worthy of the wonders we continue to experience every moment here in Your Paradise. May we recognize You and Us in every magical aspect of creation.

Many of you may know that movie called The Matrix. It resulted in quite a few people questioning the universe in which they have chosen to journey. And there are so many interesting notions the screenwriters developed. However, let us clarify the meaning of things presented in one scene as an example of where we are. In one scene there is a young monk in training who advised our main hero that in order to bend the spoon, one must remember “there is no spoon.” It is absurd, of course, to even suggest there is no spoon. It’s like saying there is no You. Of course there is a spoon! The physical manifestations are quite real We promise you! In this case, it is better said “you ARE the spoon.” You have been chosen by Creator for that path as much as the spoon has in this moment.

Before continuing, it is likely in the Reader’s best interest at this point to pause. Listen. Close your eyes. Pray that the Creator bring only those in to your world who are there for your highest alignment and all of humanity that we might experience Heaven on Earth. Know that the magic of the universe is speaking in you and through you and all around you. As it is in and through and all around every one of Us. This is the key wisdom held by fledgling homo spiritus.

May we impart only the guidance that will help the Reader progress to the next chapter on their Soul’s journey and nothing more. As we are clearly in uncharted territory and have no idea what we are talking about.

Respectfully,
Ashley Clarke
